Story

of the Sleepy Hollow Theatrical Production

Sleepy Hollow, New York
American Revolutionary War
October, 1780

With American Patriots camped to the North and English Tories occupying the city of New York to the South, the village of Sleepy Hollow has become the "neutral zone" and for the villagers caught within life once idelic has become a living nightmare.

Those living within this “neutral zone” have withdrawn to their polarized corners of black & white —for living in the rational gray only breeds nightmarish consequences.

In this world of us versus them, communal beliefs are instilled in each for the good of the whole. First and foremost —

Outliers are not to be trusted.

Nearly two decades after the American Revolution
Sleepy Hollow, New York
September, 1800
The trauma of war still looms over the valley of Sleepy Hollow like a dark mist. Wartime atrocities summoned a headless demon into being, and the repercussions of his presence have rippled into the next generation. Like those around her, Katrina Van Tassel has been raised in a protective vacuum of superstition and fear—But after her mother is killed by the Headless Horseman, Katrina is driven to exhume the secrets of the past.
This is her story—a story of choices and consequences, of memories lost and secrets found…
…and ultimately of a young girl struggling to find the courage to challenge a system hell-bent on keeping the past buried. She will soon learn that the greatest conflicts are not fought on distant battlefields, but rather deep within oneself.
